Located within 30-40 minutes of the school by public transport, the families provide half-board and full immersion in the Japanese language and culture. Staying with a carefully selected local host is an authentic way for you to practise Japanese seven days a week, in the context of everyday life. You are guaranteed to make rapid progress!

If you’re looking for a social living option, this is it! You’ll stay in a private room with access to a shared bathroom, complete with a mini-fridge, desk, chair, air conditioning and wired internet. Bedding packs are available for purchase, but you’ll have to bring your own towels. Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas, which include a shared kitchen, a dining area and a theatre room with sofas and a big projector to watch movies. The nearest public transport station is just over 10 minutes away on foot, and it will take you to school in a 20-minute train ride (door-to-door: about 45 minutes).

This residence perfectly blends traditional Japanese decor with modern furnishings and exterior – all just a 40-minute train to campus. Students will be placed in single rooms, but makeshift double rooms are available upon request. Each room contains a desk, bedside table, closet, and shelf. WIFI is available and linen is provided, but students should bring their own towels. There is a small laundry room available for free but for larger loads, students should go to the nearby laundromat. There is a cleaning service, and two shared toilets with one bathing room. Between classes, students can socialise and enjoy the shared games room which has a selection of board/card games and a Playstation 4.
