LTL Mandarin School

For students hoping to be fully immersed into Chinese culture and language, a homestay is the perfect choice for you. Each student will be placed with a host family, no more than 60 minutes from the school, in a single room with access to WIFI and an ensuite or shared bathroom. Students will be able to sample traditional Chinese cuisine in a natural setting as they will be given a daily breakfast and dinner by their host family. Each student will be provided with linen, which they can clean at the homestay for free – students should bring their own towel. Overall, this option is perfect for students who want 24/7 language practice during their stay in Beijing.

Students looking to gain a strong sense of immersion while maintaining their independence will find a healthy mix of both in a shared apartment. Students will be placed in a single room in an apartment shared with Chinese students to give complete immersion – approximately 45 minutes from the school. Students will be provided with linen that they can clean for free using the laundry facilities in the apartment – students will need to bring their own towels. Students will have a desk, chair and TV. While the students will have to keep their own space clean, common areas will be cleaned by the residence every week. Overall this option is perfect for students looking for an authentic Chinese student experience.

Students who want to live in complete independence during their time in Shanghai will be able to do so in a studio apartment, just 30 minutes from school. Apartments include a bathroom, kitchen and double bed. Each apartment has laundry facilities and a weekly cleaning service of the common areas – students will be responsible for keeping their personal space clean. Students will be given linen, but they will need to bring their own towel. Overall, this option is perfect for students wanting to explore the sprawling metropolis of Shanghai from the comfort of their own personal space.
